Dr. Hughes specializes in thinner patient liposuction and thin patient fat transfer procedures including the Brazilian buttlift (BBL). Dr. Hughes performed 360 degree liposuction of the patient waist and transferred over 600 cc of fat to each buttock. To be able to harvest this much fat from a patient who is 100 lbs or less is quite remarkable, and this liposuction process requires tremendous skill to avoid surface irregularities, dents, cannula track marks, and contour deformities. Smoothness of result must accompany a dramatic result. If the patient ends up with more buttock projection and larger hips but the skin on the abdomen is lumpy, bumpy, and damaged beyond repair, this is not a great tradeoff. It is better to do the surgery only once and to do it correctly the first time with the highest possible probability of success.
